Named after the giant leatherback turtles that nest on nearby shores, La Tartaruga is  Tobago's premier Italian restaurant.

Offering a choice of al fresco dining on our covered terrace or in our indoor restaurant, we serve only the very finest Italian cuisine: homemade pasta, fish and rock lobsters, in-house desserts and Gelato. A full vegetarian menu is available. Herbs are home grown, breads are home baked, and only the finest olive oils, olives and cheeses are imported from Italy, while local ingredients are sourced from the best suppliers on the island.

Our award winning wine cellar brings the glory of Italy's famed wine regions to the tranquil shores of Tobago.

Wine Shop & Take Away

Winner of the Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence every year since 2002. Our Wine list comprises over 200 italian selections, with strengths in Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria, Puglia and Sicily. Ask to visit the wine cellar and discover many small vintners producing impressive quality/price bottling.

Prosecco, Grappa, Limoncello, Chocolate liqueur, Porto and wine jars suitable for wedding and receptions.

You can order for Take Away  Chocolate Fudge Cake, Tiramisu’, Cheesecakes, beef or vegetarian Lasagne, or choose any of the products imported directly from Italy ( Parmigiano cheese,  Olive Oil, Balsamic vinegar, Glass and wine decanters). Delivery is available also to Trinidad.
